I designed this apartment for myself and my family. Here I added an extra bedroom, so each of my three children would get his own room, while keeping the public space large and comfortable. To achieve that I gave up the original dining space and placed the dining table in the kitchen area. When it is not used for family meals or entertaining, we use it as an extra countertop. For the design I wanted clean and modern lines while maintaining a warm atmosphere, so I chose a neutral color palette and added touches of wood and natural textures.
For the living room I chose a modern sofa, above it is a painting I created myself, adding an abstract and colorful vibe to the space. I added an iron shelving system, chose a large ottoman that functions as a soft coffee table and covered the TV wall with bricks for a rustic look. For the balcony, I incorporated a nice seating area that we use for entertaining, thus treating it
exactly as I would a garden.
Two of my children have already moved out by now, and my third son got an updated decor for his bedroom – the wall is covered in a combination of two tones, creating a concrete-like look. On it I designed a geometric pattern, carved through the wall with a black metal profile, and added three dimensional and colorful pillows. Instead of a standard bed, I designed a wooden platform, next to it is a small bedside table made out of wood and iron, which was custom made by a local artisan.
הדירה שעיצבתי עבורי ועבור משפחתי. למבנה המקורי הייתי צריכה להוסיף חדר שינה נוסף, כדי לאפשר לכל אחד משלושת הילדים חדר משלו, זאת מבלי לפגוע בגודלו של החלל הציבורי. לצורך כך ויתרתי על פינת האוכל ואת השולחן שילבתי כחלק מחלל המטבח. רוב הזמן הוא משמש כמשטח עבודה נוסף ובעת הצורך אנחנו אוכלים ומארחים סביבו. בעיצוב הבית רציתי לשדר מצד אחד קו נקי ומצד שני חמימות ולכן בחרתי בפלטת גוונים ניטראלית על בסיס של לבן ואפור עם נגיעות של עץ וטקסטורה טבעית.
עבור הסלון בחרתי בספה מודרנית, מעליה תלוי ציור שאני ציירתי שמוסיף לחלל נגיעת צבע אבסטרקטית. מימין לספה מיקמתי יחידת מדפים מברזל ומעץ, בחרתי בהדום רך שמתפקד כשולחן סלון וקיר הטלוויזיה חופה בלבנים למראה מעודן וביתי. ליד הסלון ממוקמת המרפסת, אליה התייחסתי כחצר לכל דבר. שילבתי בה פינת ישיבה אשר מרחיבה את החלל הציבורי כלפי חוץ ומשמשת אותנו לאירוח.
כיום שניים מילדי כבר עזבו את הקן והבן שעדיין גר בבית קיבל עיצוב מחודש לחדרו – הקיר חופה בשני גוונים היוצרים מראה דמוי בטון, עליו יצרתי דוגמה גיאומטרית שנחצבה בקיר וקיבלה פרופיל מתכת מושחר וכריות צבעוניות למראה צבעוני ותלת מימדי. במקום מיטה סטנדרטית יצרתי במה של קורות עץ ולצידה הצבתי שידה מברזל מכופף בשילוב עץ שרוף שיצרנו עם אמן שמתמחה בעבודה כזו.
